Goalbet Sportsbook Review

Goalbet, officially GLB GmbH, is was founded in January of 2009 in Austria. It has since become one of the more recognised online bookmakers in Europe and operates in almost every European language. The bookmakers is licensed and regulated by the government of Curacao, located in the Netherlands Antilles and Curacao.

Currently the website is ranked quite a high place in terms of online traffic and focuses on Football, which isn’t surprising considering their logo. Just over 80% of this websites traffic is from Greece.

As well as a focus on sports betting, the website diversifies itself offering online casino games, live streaming, live TV betting and online poker. They even host annual Poker Tournaments, with this years being hosted in May at the Princess Casino in the FYROM.

They have minimal presence on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

Betting Markets

In addition to online poker, casino and live TV betting Goalbet offers a range of sports betting. This includes:

Football, American Football, Baseball, Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Boxing, Cricket, Cycling, Handball, Ice Hockey, Formula-1, Rugby, Tennis, Volleyball, Racing, Futsal, Darts, Badminton, Water Polo, Squash, Ping Pong, Beach Volleyball, Bowls, Snooker, Australian Rules and Moto Racing.

They also have a market in Politics and have recently opened a market for the Olympic and Special games.

Live Betting

Goalbets live betting is looking to fulfil the demand that is growing for this market and despite a poor layout, they offer a huge variety of live odds.

Usability of the site

Goalbet’s layout is not the easiest for a beginner looking for a positive betting experience. Although there is mention of a sign-up bonus on the web, this isn’t at all made clear on Goalbet’s site.

The information and customer support for the website is not made clear at all and cannot even be found on their homepage. When you navigate to sports you can easily find their chat facility and help. However, these are limited with chat including on an e-mail option.

They do have a mobile and tablet friendly app, but the usability is far from perfect and the reviews recognise that. The app is also difficult to find and the link on the website to it is broken.

There is a Cashout option available but there has been some controversy in how Goalbet has administered their payments.

The page layout itself is terribly done and the information on the sports page is incorrectly displayed

Conclusion

Despite its poor usability, lack of online presence, and poorly designed layout this bookmakers is performing relatively well, especially in Greece.

Much work is needed, especially in terms of user friendliness, fixing of layout bugs and in promotion in order to guarantee this companies success in a highly competitive market.
