Gamebookers Sportsbook Review

Gamebookers was first launched in 1998 and has been through a series of administrative changes in the 20 years since then.

In 2006 the Bwin.Party Gaming group bought out the bookmaker and launched online. The group also ran the world’s largest poker room at the time, PartyPoker, and secured Gamebookers a sponsorship deal with FC Nantes.

This year in 2016, Gamebookers has since become a subsidiary betting brand of ElectraWorks Ltd. and GVC Holdings Plc. The group focuses on four main products, including Sports, Casino, Poker and Bingo. Bwin, Sportingbet and Party Poker are now all sister companies to the bookmaker.

Under ElectraWorks limited, Gamebookers is licenced and regulated by the authorities of Gibraltar.

The bookmaker operates in 27 currencies and 12 languages, including English, French, German, Spanish, Turkish, Italian, Romanian, Greek, Russian, Polish, Hebrew and Swedish. Gamebookers is restricted in the U.S.A.

Gamebookers have no real presence on social media, which is an interesting decision given the fact that both Bwin and Sportingbet have a huge online presence and enjoy having tens and thousands of followers.

Betting Markets

Gamebookers advertise the fact that they have over 30,000 bets available daily and offer an incredible 90 different sports, despite only currently having roughly 30.

The sports on offer include Football, Tennis, Ice Hockey, Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, Formula 1, Motorbikes, Rugby Union, Rigby League, Baseball, Cricket, Darts, Boxing, Combat Sports, Alpine Skiing, American Football, Biathlon, Chess, Cross Country Skiing, Cycling, Floorball, Politics, Pool and Snooker.

The odds available are good but they are not the most competitive compared to industry leader. Surprisingly, given their claim to offer so many sports, there is no market for E-Sports despite other bookmakers quickly scrambling to include it.

Live Betting

The live betting facility is well designed and intuitive, a fact that comes as no shock given the bookmakers parent company. There is live streaming available and a cash out option. The in-play option also offers great visuals, a good amount of wagers and statistics.

Usability of the site

Gamebookers sports a simple black, white and orange colour scheme that works well and offers players a positive experience when navigating their simple design features. The webpage never feels too overcrowded and with the addition of a search bar it is simple to find what you are looking for. There is also mobile support available in the form of the app, which also supports the live streaming.

The customer support is unfortunately only available over phone or e-mail and there is currently no live-chat facility. However, one positive is that the bookmaker has over 8 different phone lines depending on where in the world you are calling from.

There is an incredible amount of payment options with everything you would come to expect from a bookmaker in 2016. The one method missing is BitCoin, and is something Gamebookers could consider.

One big drawback of the bookmaker for potential players is the fact that they currently offer NO welcome bonus or any other promotions.

Conclusion

Gamebookers offer a excellent product that has a good range of sports and wagers available, a sleek design, an excellent live betting facility and support in the way of experience from ElectraWorks.

However, the bookmaker is somewhat let down by the fact that there are no promotions available, no options for live-chat and ultimately there is bit more to be improved before this bookmaker can be one of the greats.
