5Dimes Sportsbook Review

5Dimes is based in San Jose in Costa Rica and offers a sportsbook, poker and casino gaming wagering options.

The brand began in 1996 with the establishment of a casino. With over 15 years of experience it’s an old hand when it comes to off-shore betting and is focused on the North American market. The 5Dimes Group is also responsible for the following sites; SportBet.eu, ChineseBooke.eu and VietBet.eu.

It has over 100 employees working in the headquarters in San Jose running these betting sites.

The brand associates itself with various charitable initiatives and good causes, many of them locally aimed to its HQ. There is a separate site that has been set up (www.5DimesCares.com) to show the work they’re doing in this regard.

5Dimes has a low following on Twitter with under 5,000 and it uses social media ti display and promote odds, its promotions, and scatters some memes, gifs and shareable content in there too. It mainly promotes its most popular markets, that is American sports such as baseball, basketball and American football.

Betting Markets

5Dimes is a North American focused sportsbook operator and its sports and markets are arranged accordingly. The range of sports which customers can bet on with 5Dimes can be seen here: American Football, Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Golf, UFC/MMA, Tennis, Boxing, Ice Hockey and more.

It also offers odds in novelty markets such as WWE, and other entertainment options, and some Politics too.

In-play betting

You can bet in-play with 5Dimes. There is no mobile app which makes live betting that little more frustrating for some people, but there is an optimised mobile site. The site states that “in-Game Betting is available on American Football, Basketball, Baseball, Tennis, UFC and more.”

5Dimes also has Live Betting Ultra and Live Betting Extra features to registered customers too.

Usability of the site

The 5Dimes site is exceptionally basic and old fashioned. To the extent that it’s a little off putting in truth. It lacks any modern graphics, the background theme is a basic plain white, and it has the appearance of a site from the early 00s. It does not show the sports it offers down the left hand side as is customary and it’s hard to find those it offers markets in.

Navigation is simple enough as the site is so basic. To its credit rewards are easy to find information about, and customer support options are clearly displayed. There is no live chat however.

5Dimes has been around for some time, it has good deposit and withdrawal options, and is reliable in terms of payouts. Odds are well priced too and you can bet on a good range of markets.

Solid promotions, customer support and payouts with well priced odds 5Dimes is a good option if you’re a North American customer.

It needs to invest in a complete overhaul of its site however which is stuck in the past and doesn’t inspire confidence within new users. A live chat function would is a nice and necessary addition too.
