SpeedyBet Sportsbook Review

SpeedyBet is definitely one of the more innovative and modern bookmakers to enter the industry, launching in 2018 with a unique website and offering. The bookmaker is licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority, one of the most reputable gambling licensing bodies in the industry, so you can be sure you’re funds are safe and the gaming is fair and fully regulated. The bookmaker claims to offer over 20,000 events a month, which is enough for all but the most discerning sport bettor. Importantly to note, unfortunately at the present time the bookmaker only allows players on its site from Sweden, Finland and Germany, missing out on some huge and lucrative betting markets.

Betting Markets

On the SpeedyBet Sports section, there’s a reasonable depth and breath of sport betting available to customers 24/7. Most of the major sports are available on the site, including Football, Tennis, American Sports and Golf, there is a notable lack of Horse Racing available at the moment however. A handy toolbar can allow you to search through the betting markets on offer by Sport, League or event, with each click opening up a new range of betting markets to gamble on. There’s at least the standard level of depth seem on most other bookmakers when considering specific bets, and you can also place Singles and Accumulators if you want to mix things up a little bit more. There’s sadly no Promotions or Offers to speak of on SpeedyBet, a real negative and something which pretty much all bookmakers offer. To be honest for most players, this is a big deal breaker that could but many the avid gambler off using the site over other competitors.

Live Betting

The Live Bettng area of SpeedyBet is easily accessible, either through the right hand column or by clicking at the top of the main sports page. Sports icons easily allow you to filter to your favourite sports and ensure you can view all the events currently taking place around the world. For each event, some statistics are available to help you make that all important strategy bet, but unfortunately this is limited by not having a Live Stream of the event. The odds update in real time as the game progresses, so make sure to get your bets on in quick time.

Casino

The casino game claims to have 500+ games available for customers to enjoy, but seems to take a quality over quantity approach in this respect. There are a large number of Slots, Jackpot Games and Blitz Games available, for the most part they’re and most likely not of interest to anyone who’s been on a modern online casino. The Live Casino is hosted by Evolution Casino, so you wont have any issues playing Blackjack, Baccarat or Roulette against a real world dealer.

Usability of the Site

Initially, the beautiful homepage offered high hopes that this bookmaker would deliver on the usability front. However, alas, disappoint was to follow pretty early on. One of the big features of SpeedyBet, and hence the name, is that you can deposit money and place a bet without even creating an account on the site. You do however need to provide identification if withdrawal winnings, so therefore this is a kind of pointless proposition designed to attract those looking for a quick win without really look at the terms and conditions. To be honest, the site is hosted by SBTech, and so it was expected to deliver more to customers than is currently on offer. A lot of the site seems to be quite bare, likely due to the lack of advertising and banners showing current Promotions, different areas of the site or similar. A minor glitch but also a negative point in terms of usability, weirdly there’s two scroll bars on the main sports dashboard, which is irritating at times and takes away from engaging on the actual sports betting, if only momentarily.

Conclusion

In conclusion, SpeedyBet has some significant areas for improvement if it wants to grow into one of the leading bookmakers in the online space. It needs to start offering Promotions to customers, and actively advertise this added value across its site both to entice people to play, and to pad out the interface for a more engaging experience. In the age of KYC (Know Your Customer), its offer of not having an account really won’t stand, and is likely the reason its unable to offer its services in many of the major countries.
