Redbet Sportsbook Review

Redbet is first and foremost known as a casino brand which also operates an online sportsbook. It was founded in 2002 and the site states that it has a simple mission; “to create a fun, engaging and trustworthy place to play and one where the happiness of our players is always paramount.”

The site is available in English, Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, German and Polish. It’s based in Malta and is owned by the Bonnier Gaming Group Ltd. In 2013 the Malta based group acquired Evoke Gaming Group which consists of the following brands; Redbet, Whitebet, Heypoker, Bertil, Vinnarum and Mamamiabingo. There’s a Redbet betting blog which is a nice addition in that it’s nicely laid out, with focused, unique graphics and decent betting previews across sports to help bettors make their selections by giving them some guidance. That said it isn’t the most reliable in terms of regular updates and it’s something Redbet needs to either commit to properly or remove from the site.

Redbet needs to do more about visibility and utilising social media could be one avenue into this. It does however have an ambassador in the form of Mikaela Lauren who became a brand ambassador in 2015. She’s Sweden’s first ever world champion female boxer, and she said of the news: “I am so happy and very proud to be the ambassador for such a great brand as Redbet. This means so much to my future in boxing.”

Betting markets

Redbet has a number of sports option to bet on, and you can read all about all of them here: Football, American Football, Baseball, Basketball, Boxing, Cricket, Darts, Esports, Golf, Handball, Ice Hockey, MMA, Motorsports, Olympics, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Tennis and Volleyball.

There are also virtual sports at Redbet.

In addition to this it operates some Politics and Specials markets. Redbet is one of a select few online bookies that clearly details how many events they have to bet on within each sport meaning for instance you can see that on football, baseball and basketball it has a reat selection whilst if you’re looking to bet on esports, politics or darts you’ll be better served elsewhere.

In-play betting

Redbet offers live betting but it does not include either live streaming or live commentary. This is a disadvantage with an increasing amount of operators including it as a feature, and it doesn’t yet offer cash out which is a major blow to its rating.

If you can forgive all that though then Redbet live betting is actually a great product, it has a modern feel, nice graphics and live statistics to hand which are particularly well presented.

Usability of the site

Redbet is a nice site to use, its red white and black theme is simple and the page isn’t overloaded with options. There’s no search bar but it’s relatively easy to access live chat via support at the bottom.

There are a range of banking options such as the typical Visa, Mastercard options and ewallets such as Neteller, Skrill and paysafecard but no Paypal.

In terms of customer support Redbet has you covered. In addition to the FAQs, you can choose to send them an email by either using this address [email protected] or completing the Contact Support form on the site. There’s also a Redbet Live Chat option which was reasonably fast to respond during our test. There are also numbers to call to talk to somebody over the phone should you so wish.

Conclusion

Redbet is a decent sportsbook but there are better ones out there with far more features and more sports markets to bet on too. The Redbet casino is excellent and is the focus and it’s unfair to write off Redbet sports betting in its entirety; if all you’re bothered about is football, basketball, baseball or ice hockey then you’ll be happy enough here.

Plus with the Redbet promotions and sign up offer it makes sense to try it out. Ultimately Redbet is best for casual bettors and casino punters, with more experienced bettors better off elsewhere.
