PlanetOfBets was founded in 2008 by PlanetOfBets Entertainment B.V.

It is a Russian bookmaker and the company is based in Costa Rica. It is licenced and regulated by the government of Curacao.

The site operates in English, Spanish, Russian and Ukrainian languages. The bookmaker focuses its markets predominantly on football in Eastern Europe and Russia, as well as other European leagues.

The site doesn’t seem to have any ambassadors or sponsorship deals, and there is not much information available about the history of this bookmaker, making it a suspicious choice for potential players who are left to discuss the bookmakers legitimacy in forums.

There is no Casino, Live Casino, Racebook, Poker room or online games facility.

With little online presence, there is no discernable method for promoting their site. There is a Facebook page under Planetofbets.com/lrbetting with a few hundred followers, but the posts seem unprofessional and are poorly written.

Betting Markets

There is a very limited range of options when it comes to the markets available. The site offers a range of wagers, mostly focused on football, and they are somewhat competitive.

The markets include Football, Tennis, Basketball, Ice Hockey, Volleyball, Baseball, American Football, Rugby, MMA and Snooker.

With exactly ten sports, PlanetOfBets are extremely under-performing in an increasingly competitive and lucrative industry. Without even basic sports available, such as Cricket, Motor Racing, E-Sports and a huge range of other options, this bookmaker will really struggle to attract new players.

Live Betting

Along the right hand side of the window there is a live betting facility, which leads you to a basic set of statistics for each game. The statistics are not supported by any visuals, let alone giving options for live-streaming or a live cash out facility.

It is poorly designed and incredibly basic, and much more emphasis should be placed on how this facility is presented.

Usability of the site

The site is very basic and simple to navigate, but this is expected given the lack of options available on the site. There isn’t much available in the way of help, with only very short descriptions of how to use the Sportsbook. There is no mobile support, causing the site to lose some of its already poor design when displayed on a mobile internet browser.

Conclusion

Having experienced and reviewed all kinds of online bookmakers, it isn’t often I come across sites as poorly designed and lacking in even the most basic facilities as PlanetOfBets. Without adequate payment methods, currently no bonuses, limited markets, a poor live betting facility and a general lack of information and support it is a surprise this site is still operating and competing in such a tough industry.

If it doesn’t change, the site will struggle to legitimately survive.

- Broad selection of deposit and withdrawal options;

- Website is simple and easy to navigate;

- The black background of their site also helps to dim the screen brightness so you can bet inplay for hours without feeling any eye pain.

Disadvantages:

- Relatively unknown, as of yet;

- Not as many sports and markets on offer as larger bookies;

- Odds are poor compared to other books;

- Low bet limits for some events;

- Tend to limit fast and high winning players;

- Quite a boring looking website design.
