MyBookie Sportsbook Review

MyBookie is a U.S. based bookmaker that only appeared a couple of years ago, back in 2014.

The bookmaker is licenced and regulated by the authorities of Costa Rica, and its offices are also based there. Also, MyBookie are known to run their servers in the Indian Territory of Canada.

Due to their access to the selective US market, MyBookie focus their efforts heavily on appealing to players in the country, focusing predominantly on American Football, Baseball and Basketball. On top of their sportsbook, MyBookie also have a Casino and a Racebook.

Like most US based bookmakers, MyBookie only operate in English, making it more difficult for players whose first language is anything else. Currently the bookmaker is restricted in China, Russia and France.

Interestingly, MyBookie advertised the fact that a number of their staff have moved from BetOnSports. A bookmaker infamous for its collapse after it’s CEO was arrested in 2006, and in the end the bookmaker’s players lost millions overall after being left with only 5% of their deposits and winnings.

Their social media presence is good, gaining hundreds of followers on Facebook and over a thousand on Twitter in the space of a few years. These pages are updated daily with exciting wagers and promotions.

Betting Markets

As has already been mentioned, MyBookie heavily focus on the U.S. market and of the 24 sports available to wager on, only a handful are not American. The odds are comparatively good and if you are a fan of American sport then there is few places bettor in terms of wagers available.

Currently they offer markets for the NFL, NCAA Football, MLB, Ice Hockey, Football, Boxing, MMA, Tennis, Horse Racing, Religion, NBA, Entertainment, NHL, College Basketball, WNBA, Canadian Football, Arena Football, International Basketball, Wrestling, E-Sports and College Baseball.

The shifting focus towards eSports can be seen with MyBookie and they have a series of interesting articles related to the sport.

Live Betting

As MyBookie is licensed in the US it has to follow much stricter laws when compared to the rest of the world and especially Europe. Therefore the live betting, although available to do on the breaks there is no option for cash out or any live streaming.

Their in-play service is okay compared to other U.S. competitors but much more could be done to improve the visuals and statistics given there is no other souce of information.

Usability of the site

The site is very sleek and well designed, although the loading between pages can feel rather slow at times. The navigation is fairly intuitive although the drop-down selections are sometimes quite fiddly and frustrating. The mobile app is available for MyBookie and seems to work much more smoothly than the desktop site.

If you run into any issues the 24/7-customer support from MyBookie is excellent and they are always incredibly polite and friendly when dealing with any requests. Live-Chat, phone, e-mail support and a corporate mailing address are all available for players. There had been some small issues with payouts but they are quickly improving their image.

In terms of payment options there are no E-Wallet options available except for BitCoin. Instead players are more likely to use Peer-to-Peer, Bank Transfer or Mastercard to deposit and withdraw.

The promotions on offer are incredible, with a 100% welcome offer on $1000, amazing refer a friend bonuses and great loyalty bonuses too.

Conclusion

Overall, Mybookie is an excellent choice for U.S. players and those interested in U.S. sports. However, with a narrow selection of sports, lack of in-play information and an at times frustrating design, MyBookie does have some room for improvement.

Given that MyBookie is so new to the scene it will take time to gain trust and confidence from its players, but if the bookmaker keeps on going the way it is then it’s only a matter of time.
